Melanie Price

Melanie Price is an artist from South Beach and has been an Oregon coast resident for 7 years, having relocated from Bend, where she was raised and lived for 37 years. She uses mixed media art that includes recycled vinyl LPs painted with acrylics and adorned with beads, marbleized paper, shells, feathers, leather, mirrors, and rhinestones. She calls her works "dreammakers", as they resemble a dreamcatcher, but they are designed as meditation mandalas, power pieces, and protective talismans.

Melanie's art is an expression of her love of symbols, numerology, astrology, geometry, and symmetry. Melanie uses a variety of other mediums to create, including ceramics, feather and beaded jewelry, macramé, and herbal teas and tinctures.
